Tuition, Aid, Fees and Payment Options
Cash, checks, Visa and MasterCard are accepted as tuition payment. Financial aid for private lessons is limited. There are several scholarships available for private lessons. They must be applied for and are based on need and talent. Call the studio to fill out a financial aid form. Dance and Theater Scholarships are much easier to get. They are based on need and audition. Student or parent must fill out the necessary forms to be considered.
1. Registration Fee: $15 per student ( includes copied sheet music) 2. Tuition does not cover costs of music books or CD accompaniments 3. Tuition fees as of Aug. 1, 2009 (payable monthly between the 1st and 8th) 4. CD copies and backing tracks will be billed at a rate of $5/track 5. Vocal CD’s are $10 for a compilation. 6. Any downloaded sheet music at the cost of $4.95 will be billed to the student. 7. Family/Sibling Discounts: Students taking both a group class and private will receive a 10% discount off the group class only. Only one Materials Fee charged per family
Private Piano, Strings: ˝ Hour / wk. = $30 per lesson 1 Hour / wk. = $60/hour lesson 1 ˝ Hours / wk = $75/ per lesson
Private Voice: By audition for placement ˝ Hour / wk. = $30/ half hour lesson 1 Hour / wk. = $60/hour lesson

Policies and Procedures: (for private lessons) 1. Tuition is due by the 8th of each month. You will not be invoiced except if you have purchased books/ materials. You have a School Calendar to remind you of your tuition as well as the opportunity to make adjustments. 2. On the 10th you will be charged a $10 late fee if tuition is unpaid. NO EXCEPTIONS. If you are unsure of your account balance you must contact the RCMA office for your balance. 3. Teacher absences will be credited or made up at another time suitable to the teacher and student. 4. Parents must give RCM 2 weeks notice regarding an absence. The lesson can then be rescheduled or credited the following month. Group Class absences will not be credited. A missed lesson not reported will not be credited or made up. 5. Theater students may only be involved in one production at a time. This includes productions outside of the Royal Conservatory. School plays are excluded from this policy. 6. Additional costume fees may apply to theater students. 7. All music books, sheet music and CD’s downloaded by Conservatory staff are sold separately, subject to state sales tax and not included with tuition. 8. Scholarships must be applied for and are issued at the discretion of the Royal Conservatory. 9. SUMMER: All tuition must be paid in FULL prior to camp starting day. There are no proration, no refunds and no refunds for absences. Credit cards are accepted graciously. |
